John Peter Smith Hospital

John Peter Smith is the level 1 trauma center for Tarrant county, routinely receiving patients from all surrounding counties.  Referrals for head and neck pathology are made from both primary care and dental practitioners from numerous clinics throughout the region.  The Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery has a busy outpatient clinic operating 5 days a week, in addition to a head and neck cancer clinic 1.5 days each week.  The recently constructed Pavilion houses a state-of-the-art ICU and 12 operating rooms.  The majority of surgery performed by the Fellow will be at JPS. Our Fellows operate Mondays, Thursdays, and Fridays at JPS.
